EeComm helps you engage your employees through effective communication. While no two communication projects are the same, the process typically involves the following steps.

Define Success

EeComm will start your project by gaining a solid understanding of what you intend to achieve with effective employee communication.

Create a Strategy

EeComm will document the communication objectives, inventory and assess your audiences, develop key messages and work with you to identify the vehicles that will most effectively deliver the messages.

Develop a Work Plan

EeComm will document the detailed work steps to be taken, the responsibilities for taking those steps, and the key dates for steps to be accomplished.

Produce the Vehicles

As a part of your team, EeComm consultants can be called upon to draft content, secure and direct graphic art, produce audio and video, coordinate print and delivery, and much more.

Measure Success

EeComm can help you assess the success of employee communication efforts and adjust strategies as appropriate.

Jim Hanley is a founding principal and President of EeComm. He has 32 years of experience helping organizations effectively communicate with employees about benefits, compensation and organizational change. His clients have included Amway, Boeing, Gap, Inc., Meijer, Microsoft, Sherwin-Williams and dozens of other organizations from a wide variety of industries. 

Jim is a skilled communicator with a thorough understanding of Human Resources and most all HR topics – including health care benefits, wellness programs, retirement programs, executive pay and benefits, compensation administration and performance management. EeComm clients and Jim collaborate to develop appropriate communication strategies. He also supports implementation of those strategies with hands-on assistance in any number of capacities, including writing, editing, project management, art direction, video editing and production coordination. He is experienced with all forms of print and electronic media – from employee brochures to personalized statements to online video.

Jim received a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Sciences from the University of Chicago and is a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist.

Theresa Schiltz is a founding principal and Executive Vice President of EeComm. She has over 13 years of HR communication experience developing and implementing communication strategies, focusing on benefit education, health care consumerism, wellness engagement, total rewards and retirement education. Theresa has experience with both print and web-based communications, including summary plan descriptions, annual enrollment materials, wellness campaigns, newsletters and personalized benefit statements.

Theresa has helped a variety of organizations implement strategies around benefit programs and health management education, including CA Technologies, Meijer, Performance Food Group, Sherwin-Williams and Reyes Holdings.

Theresa holds a Master’s of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University.
